Transformers One animated movie release pushed back

Paramount has announced it has pushed back the release of its animated film Transformers One by a couple months. Previously set for release on July 19th, 2024 its new date is now September 13th, 2024.

Transformers One will be an origin story set before the Cybertronian civil war that will “tell the story of how a young Optimus Prime and Megatron went from being brothers-in-arms to sworn enemies.”

The film stars the voice talents of Chris Hemsworth (Thor: Love and Thunder) as Optimus Prime, Brian Tyree Henry (Bullet Train) as Megatron, Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) as Elita, Keegan-Michael Key (The Super Mario Bros. Movie) as Bumblebee, Jon Hamm (Top Gun: Maverick) as Sentinel Prime and Laurence Fishburne (John Wick: Chapter 4) as Alpha Trion.

Josh Cooley (Toy Story 4) will direct a script written by Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari (Ant-Man & The Wasp) with Steven Spielberg producing alongside Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Tom DeSanto, Don Murphy, Michael Bay, Mark Vahradian and Aaron Dem.

Transformers One is set for release on September 13th, 2024.
