Michael B. Jordan to star in Amazon’s mind-bending drama The Dwelling

Following the $250 million and counting worldwide success of Creed III, Michael B. Jordan can have his pick of the projects, and one of those appears to be Amazon Studios’ The Dwelling

Described as ‘a mind-bending story’, The Dwelling is about a newly divorced father (Jordan) who discovers a house buried in his backyard. He is a former all pro football player trying to ease into retirement, and the hits he took on the field starts to make him unsure what is real and imagined, as things begin to go awry.

According to Deadline the short-story adaptation was the subject of a lucrative bidding war, eventually coming down to Netflix and Amazon, with the latter paying a high six-figure sum for the rights to the project. Michael B. Jordan and Liz Raposo’s Outlier Society are attached to produce.

The unpublished short story written by Aaron Jayh will be adapted by Aaron Guzikowski, who knows a thing or two about warped reality following his work on Denis Villeneuve’s Prisoners and the Ridley Scott produced TV series Raised by Wolves
