James Herbert’s Shrine comes to the screen in trailer for The Unholy

Sony Photos has launched a poster and trailer for The Unholy, the upcoming adaptation of James Herbert’s 1983 novel Shrine. Directed by Evan Spiliotopoulos, the horror stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan as a disgraced journalist who travels to a small New England city to research the story of a younger woman who claims to have been visited by the Virgin Mary, he quickly involves suspect one thing rather more sinister is at play; have a look right here…

The Unholy follows Alice, a younger hearing-impaired woman who, after a supposed visitation from the Virgin Mary, is inexplicably capable of hear, converse and heal the sick. As phrase spreads and other people from close to and much flock to witness her miracles, a disgraced journalist (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) hoping to revive his profession visits the small New England city to research. When terrifying occasions start to occur throughout, he begins to query if these phenomena are the works of the Virgin Mary or one thing rather more sinister.


The Unholy arrives in cinemas on April 2nd.
